ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Every May, the Outlets of Lake Elsinore transforms into the venue for Southern California’s premier celebration to kick off the summer! Known for its unique offerings, the Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair,  stands out as a major event in the Temecula Valley region.

Participants become part of a new community legacy. Special thanks to Temecula Valley Community Events and DevKo for their generous contributions, distributed as scholarships to deserving students, each receiving $500 to further their education post-high school in the trades industry. Multiple winners and larger scholarships may be available due to the financial success of the Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair. Winners also enjoy a free entry pass to the Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair.

ELIGIBILITY

This scholarship opportunity is open to all Riverside County high school seniors graduating in the Class of 2024, who have maintained an unweighted GPA of at least 3.0. All eligible entries will be reviewed, with finalists being contacted by February 7.

Requirements

Submissions must include the following by January 30 at 11:59 p.m.:

  • The Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair Scholarship Application
  • A 500-word essay on “The importance of the Trades Industry and what it means for them.”
  • Unofficial high school transcripts showcasing an unweighted cumulative GPA; official transcripts are required before the scholarship award
  • A school identification card
  • Availability for a Zoom interview to review application.

DETERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

Finalists will be selected based on the required documents and essays (note: AI-generated essays are prohibited and will be verified). Scholarship awards will be determined through a Zoom interview with a judging panel, focusing on the essay, academic records, aspirations, and knowledge about the Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair.

SUBMISSION

All applications and accompanying documents must be submitted by January 30 at 11:59 p.m. Electronically submit your student ID and transcripts to: [email protected]. Ensure that official transcripts are received before the award can be finalized. If selected to receive a scholarship, you will be required to sign a photo release form and participate in one promotional event during the Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair.

  • February 27: Announcement of scholarship winners
  • May 23-26 / May 30-June 1: Join the celebration at the Family Fun Fest / Riverside County Fair!
